Experience

Giles has been involved in the provision of a wide variety of business advisory services for over 25 years. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse and post qualification worked in the Corporate Recovery team for two years. He was then a corporate financier for six years before commencing a career in financial public relations, joining Financial Dynamics (FD) in 1994. Before joining NewMarket Partners, Giles was with NYSE-listed FTI Consulting Inc. in London, FTI having acquired FD in late 2006 for $260 million to form its Strategic Communications division. In May 2011 he returned full time to financial public relations and joined Powerscourt, where he is a partner, whilst continuing in an advisory partner role with Newmarket Partners. Giles holds a degree in Commerce from the University of Birmingham.
